Tremfan Lodge Park is thrilled to announce our participation in the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature 2026. This marks our fifth year of commitment to sustainability, playing a crucial role in our site wide projects.
What is the Pledge for Nature?
This initiative, launched by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BH&HPA) in collaboration with the late Professor David Bellamy, helps parks protect and enhance wildlife. It involves five key commitments from us:
- Enhancing existing habitats for wildlife.
- Creating new wildlife-friendly spaces where possible.
- Managing greenspaces sustainably.
- Involving staff, visitors, and the community in conservation.
- Collaborating with local conservation groups.
Our Conservation Efforts
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Tremfan Lodge Park. We are proud to contribute to protecting our local environment in Llanbedrog and the Llyn Peninsula, ensuring that nature thrives for future generations.
Each year, we take on a wildlife challenge to introduce new projects. Some of the exciting past and present initiatives include:
- Home Sweet Home – Installing bird boxes and artificial wildlife shelters.
- Pollinator Patch – Creating wildflower-rich areas for bees and butterflies.
- Tree-mendous – Planting native trees to enhance biodiversity.
Exciting Projects This Year
Currently, we are undertaking significant work in our paddock area and as part of this there is we are taking the opportunity to expand our Pollinator Patches. These spaces provide vital food and shelter for essential insects like bees and butterflies, supporting the wider ecosystem.
A Visit from a Wildlife Advisor
As part of the Pledge for Nature, we are due for a visit from a local wildlife advisor this year. Their expert guidance will help us further enhance our conservation efforts and ensure we continue making a meaningful impact on local biodiversity.
Looking Ahead
We are committed to protecting and enhancing our park’s natural surroundings while benefiting our local community. By participating in this initiative for the fifth consecutive year, we continue to strengthen our environmental efforts and create a haven for wildlife.
Stay tuned for updates on our progress, and if you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!
